Psychotherapy & Clinical Practice
I am a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) working in private practice in Illinois. My approach to the therapeutic process centers on co-creating an intentional working relationship defined by trust and active collaboration. I work successfully with individual adult clients of all ages and specialize in a range of clinical concerns including relationship issues and communication styles, managing symptoms of depression and anxiety, balancing professional and personal commitments, as well as personal growth and development.
Process Facilitation & Teaching
Separate from my clinical work, I am a lecturer at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a former facilitator and trainer at the Open Studio Project in Evanston IL. Based on OSP principles I founded Create Space Studio, an experiential art space, in an effort to bring process art making to a broader Chicago community. In addition, I can offer specialized creative process workshops for your staff or team utilizing the Open Studio Process.
Creative Process & Personal Practice
Working as a glass artist and instructor for a number of years, discovering the Open Studio Process has expanded my view of art making and materials and has gradually shifting my focus from object-oriented to process-oriented art making. I maintain an active personal practice, which I find essential to my work as an artist and process facilitator, as well as a helping professional.
The OSP process combines intuitive, mindful art making with reflective writing in a small group format of supportive non-interference.
